Connection Journey Confidentiality
Sex and relationships can make us feel a range of emotions from joy to sadness and loneliness. Relationships, whether sexual or platonic, are the foundation of our daily lives and a source of long-term happiness or fulfillment. However, when relationships struggle, whatever the reason, they can prevent us from feeling like our best self. In sexual relationships, sex is a great source of connection. However, when sex is absent or becomes a problem, it can be hurtful and create issues more broadly throughout the relationship.
Often times problems seem impenetrable because we focus on alleviating them completely. While that can be your goal, realistically you will feel better when small changes are made. When you are not under the weight of the entire issue, you are lighter and able to see things from a different perspective.
Therapy is a journey. Initially, we work towards realizing the larger issues as you gain perspective, understanding, and empathy for yourself and your partner(s). In-depth therapy takes longer and becomes more challenging, deepening your knowledge of and connection with yourself and your partner(s) as you address more deeply rooted values, beliefs, and issues. As you progress in therapy you gain insight, gather tools, and practice new ways of communicating and functioning. One of my main goals in therapy is to assist you in building a rewarding and fulfilling long-term shift in you and/or your relationship that makes therapy unnecessary.
At Bliss, we work to co-create a safe and accepting space where you can explore and embrace your sexuality and all aspects of your relationship. Importantly, Bliss offers you complete privacy as all information is completely confidential and is never shared outside of therapy. We provide a space for you and yours to be comfortable with yourself and unpack strong reactions, discomfort, and shame in a meaningful way. Ultimately, our goal is to aid in learning and growth to develop new tools and behaviors to help you feel satisfied with yourself and your relationship(s).
Therapy helps you gain insight – a journey of self-exploration and realization of how you best align with your relationships. You do not have to remain in an uncomfortable place. Through honesty, storytelling, and laughter you will shed the old version of yourself and your relationship, opening the door to a life and relationship that is more functional, rewarding, and that you are excited to live. Please take advantage of our specialized knowledge to help you achieve your goals, fantasies, and desires.
